This service is available only for dog owners from Kanata, Stittsville, Dunrobin, Carp and Nepean (Bells Corners and Bayshore) areas.
As a dog trainer I have worked with many dog owners to help them with their dog’s behavioral issues and to educate them about dog’s natural instincts, psychology, needs, diet… In some cases a present dog owner hasn’t expected that the dog needs so much attention, work and financial costs. Because of this I decided to open a new program for prospective dog owners. If you think about getting a puppy or adopting an adult dog, please, contact me. We will discus everything about the new addition to your family. A dog is like “a kid”, but “a kid with special needs”. It doesn’t only bring happy moments, but also a lot of responsibilities and adjustments. If you’ve never had a dog before, or even if you had, a consultation prior to your final decision may be helpful. We will look at some practical issues surrounding a puppy or new dog in your household:
- What is the right breed or mix for you?
- Big or little?
- Adult or puppy?
- Equipment or gear you will need.
- Proofing your home.
- Health care.
- Where to find that special dog.
- Realistic expectations.
But the main question “WHY” you want to adopt a dog?
As long as we communicate by email, this service is free. If you want me to come and talk to you in person, my visit costs $80 per hour (HST included).
